Designing a Print

I decided to design my own 'print' for a project. I am always inspired by Issey Miyake, especially because he involves the wearer and allows them to wear a garment in different ways (e.g excess fabric which can be tied to create a different silhouette).

Here I decided to create a print which would encourage the wearer to be involved in the design process. To do this I would produce a print with dotted guide lines so that the wearer could choose to have a normal printed fabric, or cut along the lines which would produce an interactive print. It would also give the wearer the opportunity to cut certain areas and leave others, which would allow them to create a personal print and silhouette.

Here are three samples (already cut)
